Our time with the Secret Projects is coming to a close for now, but we've got one last set of WoBs from Brandon's spoiler stream, all about Secret Project #4 and its implications for the wider Cosmere! Next week, it's finally coming: our reactions to Brandon's surprise reveal of the prologue to Stormlight Archive 5.

The sun is rising over the leeward horizon when the Kasitor Bay ripples with a wave that is not quite a wave (fine, it's a bit late for a sunrise, but your memory of the event has painted it with a bit of an artistic license). From the illusory water rises a spren with a body like a jet of water, a hundred feet tall (your memory embellishes the sight a bit again), four arms sprouting from the main body, landing on pillars carefully constructed in the exact locations the arms' hands land every morning. Cusicesh the Protector has arrived, just like it does every morning.

We are extremely excited that at long, long last, we are starting a new podcast series where we reread various Brandon works and talk about our thoughts! This show will be both on our YouTube channel and our podcast feed, and will be weekly! We'll be starting with Mistborn: The Final Empire starting May 7th, so if you want to read along with us, get started on that! We'll be doing a Mistborn book a month until the end of October, right before The Lost Metal's release!

Publisher's Weekly has revealed the cover for Bastille vs. The Evil Librarians, the final entry in Brandon's Alcatraz series! Bastille is cowritten with Janci Patterson, co-author of the Skyward Flight novellas, and is due to release September 20th. Additionally, the print collection of said novellas is out, and Brandon and Janci shared a bit about what Skyward will look like going forwards.

Frequent visitors of our Discord server might be familiar with user betweenskyandsea, known on Instagram as heatherly.draws. She is not only talented and versatile in her art, but also incredibly helpful to other artists in our community, and an overall great person to have around. So it goes without saying that we've been looking for an excuse to have her work on something. Well, it turns out that she had a great idea for how to depict the Pantheon archipelago from Sixth of the Dusk (several ideas, actually), and we love what she's done with the place!

You've been waiting for a physical editions for the three Skyward Flight novellas that came out late last year, and today Skyward Flight: The Collection is out! Chapter 1 and 2 of the Lost Metal was read last November at the Dragonsteel Mini-Con, and was posted online in February. It took a bit to record this episode due to sickness and Brandon's recent bombshell, but enjoy! We don't know when future sample chapters will be coming out, but I imagine this will be our last Lost Previews for a while until sample chapters come in earnest.

We're getting back to some previews for Lost Metal, this time covering Lost Metal's Prologue! We'll also be covering the reading of chapter 1 and 2 later this week, so even though this is a bit of a late one, we thought it'd be weird to not have Danielle and Marvin talk about the prologue as well!

We haven't done Words of Brandon since July, and there's been a quite a lot to cover! This episode covers some random events, but also FanX in September and November's Dragonsteel Mini-Con. There's spicy stuff here: aethers, dragons, Lost Metal hints, Ian completely despairing... Enjoy!

It's been a couple of months since Evershore, the last Skyward Flight novel(la), came out, and Dragonsteel is getting ready for the launch of the omnibus edition on April 5. Today, "getting ready" means a few new appropriately themed store items that will become available for preorder on March 14. Plus, Brandon's weekly(-ish) update video told us that The Lost Metal revisions (that's draft 3, incorporating beta feedback, for those of you keeping track) are now up to 60%.
